Tips and Advice

Are your products tested on animals?

“Emma Hardie believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements. All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.  For more information about Cruelty Free International, Leaping Bunny and Leaping Bunny criteria, please visit www.crueltyfreeinternational.org

Are your products vegan/vegetarian?

Our products are all Vegan, with the exception of our Moringa Cleansing Balm, which contains small traces of Beeswax. All Emma Hardie Skincare is 100% Vegetarian.

Are your products natural?

Emma Hardie formulations are developed using high-grade, skin-friendly ingredients harvested from the natural world. They are free from parabens, silicones, synthetic colours and fragrances, petrochemicals, mineral oil, sulphates and skin-sensitising ingredients such as Retinol and Glycolic.

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Our products are suitable for all skin types and are 'formulated without' common skin irritants. If you have any concerns, we always recommend carrying out a patch test before using Emma Hardie Skincare.

Can I use Emma Hardie when pregnant?

All Emma Hardie products are safe to use during pregnancy. However, some women prefer to avoid essential oils during their pregnancy. If in doubt, speak to your midwife or medical practitioner.

Are your products recyclable?

We really appreciate your efforts to recycle our products. Our packaging is now 100% recyclable.

Because we are always looking for new ways to improve our sustainability, we accept, and reuse returns of empty Emma Hardie packaging through our Emma Hardie Empties program.

By returning five empty Emma Hardie products to our HQ, you’ll receive a £5 voucher off your next emmahardie.com shop.

Why can't I find Age Support Face Cream online?

You will be pleased to know our Age Support Face Cream has just had a makeover! It has been re-named the Midas Touch Revitalising Cream. Please be assured this product is the same formula, and same ingredients as the Age Support. You can shop our Midas Touch Revitalising Cream online.

How should I use Moringa Cleansing Balm?

Take a hazelnut size piece of Moringa Balm and massage thoroughly into dry skin in order to break down all traces of face and eye make-up and to lift away daily pollutants. To remove, soak the Dual-Action Cleansing Cloth in warm water, squeeze out the excess and use to gently remove the product using the Emma Hardie 'lines not circles' technique. Use the microfibre side first for removal, then repeat using the exfoliating muslin side for skin polishing.
What does 'lines not circles' mean?

'Lines not circles' is the method used to remove and apply all Emma Hardie skincare products, and the technique used for at-home facial massage.

Using short, downward strokes rather than circles works with the natural grain of your facial tissues, encouraging a fresher, healthier, and younger-looking skin, improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, and bringing up moisture from the lower levels. I'm new to Emma Hardie, which product should I start with?

We recommend starting with Moringa Cleansing Balm, which helps to balance, repair, nourish and brighten all skin types, and restores a natural glow. It’s also the perfect product for at-home facial massage.

I have a nut allergy, can I still use Emma Hardie?

We use many natural plant oils in our skincare, including almond oil in our Moringa Cleansing Balm. If you know or suspect you have a sensitivity to any ingredient, please read the listings on our packaging or website and consult your medical practitioner before using.

Does your skincare contain SPF?

Protecting the skin from sun damage is central to our skincare philosophy. We recommend Emma Hardie Protect and Prime SPF30, which offers eight hours of broad-spectrum protection and can be worn instead of, or over your moisturiser to protect your skin from UVA and UVB, and the environmental damage caused by pollution.

Can I get an allergic reaction from Emma Hardie Products?

All Emma Hardie products have been dermatologically tested and approved as suitable for sensitive skin and kind to skin. Although allergic reactions to Emma Hardie products are very rare indeed we suggest that if you are using the Emma Hardie range for the first time you test it in the crease of your elbow or just behind the ear before applying to the face.

If you think you have suffered from an allergic reaction, please stop using the product. It is possible to be allergic to pretty much anything including essential oils and other natural ingredients.
